香港股市 10 月 24 日開盤即出現恐慌性拋售，恒指全日大跌1,030 點，收市報 15180 點，創逾 13 年新低。恆生科技股指數盤中暴跌 7.2％，阿里挫11.4%﹑美團瀉14.8%，騰訊跌11.4%，小米（1810）跌8.6%，京東（9618）跌13.2%。

非美貨幣不斷貶值 各國央行救市
年初至今，美聯儲不僅多次超預期加息，還在不斷提高加息預期。目前美聯儲已經加息 5 次，分別為 25bp、50bp、75bp、75bp、75bp，創自 1981 年以來的最大密集加息幅度。
目前，各國央行以及其他金融監管機構，都在出臺緊急應對措施，試圖平抑市場波動。 日本是少數沒有跟隨美聯儲加息的國家，日元貶值相對其他幣種更加明顯。10 月 21 日，日元兌美元一度逼近 152 整數關口，續創逾 32 年新低。

結果是美元大漲，非美貨幣不斷貶值，各國央行紛紛下場保匯率、救股市、救債市。

早前英鎊急速貶值勢加劇民眾對通脹恐慌，民眾將注意力轉向比特幣等加密貨幣，使交易量一時間出現戲劇性狂升。BitMEX 創始人Arthur Hayes 撰文也指，一直以來戰爭都是通脹元兇，而比特幣在戰爭用途，乃避過資本管制，因其價值和傳輸網絡不依賴政府特許銀行機構，性質屬「金錢之外」，是平民保護財富最佳手段。
事實證明，在俄羅斯2月被西方制裁其貨幣崩潰後，比特幣兌盧布交易量也在 3 月爆發，加密貨幣市值在幾天內上漲了近 4000億美元，俄羅斯人紛約轉向購買比特幣保值。
