Ark Investment 創辦人兼行政總裁 Cathie Wood ，旗下基金早在 2015 年，大部分民眾都還沒聽過比特幣的時候，就成為首個投資比特幣的公共基金，這也不難看出 Cathie Wood 的專長，看準有前瞻性的科技創新類標的，買入然後等待長期驚人回報；她在今年對比特幣做了兩次未來價格預測，稱之幾年後一顆 BTC 將要價 100 萬美元。
知名經濟學家 Art Laffer 大讚比特幣
作為知名的比特幣支持者，21 日時 Cathie Wood 前往 Podcast 「What Bitcoin Did」進行節目對談，她提到曾與經濟學家 Art Laffer 討論過，比特幣是否能符合貨幣的三種功能，結果 Laffer 在檢視過比特幣白皮書之後，興奮表示比特幣未來可能是支撐美元價值的資產。Wood 引述 Laffer 的話說：「自從我們走出金本位之後，我一直在找這種東西，這是個基於規則的貨幣政策、基於規則的貨幣系統，正是規則…我們需要回歸這點。」
Wood 提到當時她詢問了 Laffer 「那麼比特幣的規模可以變得多大呢？」
Art Laffer 的回答是：「這個嘛，想想美元的貨幣基底有多大。」
比特幣 250 美元時買入 10 萬美元
Cathie Wood 指出，2015 年時跟 Art Laffer 討論比特幣給她相當大的震撼，也讓她立刻開始買入比特幣，因為 Laffer 居然用當時 4.5 兆的美元貨幣基底來形容總市值 60 億的比特幣；Wood 當時立刻投入大約 10 萬美元買了比特幣：「我認為我以前沒有說過這件事，但我買了 10 萬美元的比特幣，我甚至沒有計算當初買的顆數，但我把那時的比特幣保留到現在。因為 Art Laffer 當時那樣說，我的腦袋裡就像是有顆燈泡突然亮了。」
若以比特幣現價 19,428 美元計算，木頭姐從 2015 年持有至今的該筆比特幣已漲了 77 倍，價值 770 萬美元左右。若用 Wood 引述 Art Laffer 的「比特幣將成為美元貨幣基底規模」的比喻，若比特幣未來總市值升至 4.5 兆美元，比起現在的價格漲幅將超過 1100%。
