美國證券交易委員會（SEC）與商品期貨交易委員會（CFTC），正就修改大型對沖基金的加密貨幣敞口報告規則提案尋求公眾意見。該聯合提議計畫將數位資產列為一個新的子資產類別。
美國兩大金融監管機構美國證券交易委員會（SEC）與商品期貨交易委員會（CFTC）週四（1）聯合將數位資產納入大型對沖基金的機密文件報告（PF 表格）提議規則向公眾諮詢意見。
SEC 和 CFTC 為此次修改 PF 表格的提議設立了 40 天的評論期。
SEC 於 2008 年金融危機後要求私募基金必須定期填寫 PF 表格，使 SEC 可以更好地監控金融市場的泡沫和穩定性風險。要求資產淨值超過 5 億美元的大型對沖基金必須在其 PF 報告中披露投資策略、風險敞口、借貸和交易對手風險等多項資訊。
要求大型對沖基金披露對加密貨幣部位
本次提出的提議規則引起加密行業注意的是，大型對沖基金在 PF 表格中報告「現金和現金等價物」時不包括加密貨幣敞口，而是將他們列到不同的類別中，以「準確地報告數位資產投資策略」。
公眾也被邀請評論監管機構是否應該使用「加密資產」一詞而非「數位資產」。該提案解釋「我們認為這些術語是同義詞，我們相信這樣的術語和定義將為我們打算處理的資產類型提供一致的理解。」
公眾評論期將在 10 月 11 日到期。兩家監管機構於 8 月 10 日首次提出加強私募基金報告的提議，當時提議變更 PF 報告規則的部分原因是自 2008 年引入 PF 表格以來，數位資產投資變得越來越普遍。
SEC 與 CFTC 認為投資顧問披露有關投資策略和某些資產敞口的更詳細資訊，將使金融穩定監督委員會能夠更好地評估美國經濟的潛在風險。
