美國電動車超級大廠 Tesla 在去年 2 月購入價值 15 億美元的比特幣，不過隨著比特幣跌至 18 個月低點， Tesla 的押注已嚴重虧損，預計將在第 2 季財報中報告約 4.4 億美元的比特幣減值損失，相當於去年年利潤的 9%。

 

截至今年 6 月 30 日，即 Tesla Q2 財報的最後一天，比特幣的交易價格約為 1.9 萬美元，這使得 Tesla 的比特幣投資價值預估降至 8.208 億美元，相較於第 1 季財報報告的 12.6 億美元，將有約 4.4 億美元的減值損失。

 

連續兩季比特幣持有資產價值都保持在 12.6 億美元

Tesla 在 Q1 財報曾指出，該公司在去年 Q4 和今年 Q1 皆沒有買賣任何比特幣，也就是連續兩季比特幣持有資產價值都保持在 12.6 億美元。儘管 Tesla 持有的比特幣價值最高接近 20 億美元，但會計慣例上，在出售之前，不會登記投資收益。

去年， Tesla 曾短暫接受比特幣作為支付方式，但其 CEO Elon Musk 在去年 5 月無預警宣布，因為用於比特幣挖礦上的化石燃料消耗迅速增長，可能對環境造成負面影響，決定暫停接受比特幣支付，直到挖礦行為作出調整。

今年 3 月，在加密貨幣市場劇跌之際，Elon Musk 曾在 Twitter 上表示，他不會出售任何加密貨幣，強調「我仍然擁有並且不會出售我的比特幣、以太幣或狗狗幣」。
